FAQS

Wondering how to apply chenille patches?

  • For heat pressing, set the machine to 300°F and apply firm pressure for 10–15 seconds.

  • Alternatively, sew the patches on for maximum durability, especially for heavy-use garments.

Whether you need guidance on how to heat press chenille letters or tips for sewing onto tough fabrics, Elegant Patches is here to support you.

Chenille patches are embroidered using thick yarns that create a soft, plush texture — iconic for varsity jackets, team uniforms, fashion apparel, and festive items like chenille Christmas patches.
If you’re curious what is a chenille patch, it’s the perfect combination of texture, vibrancy, and craftsmanship, now widely loved in the fashion world.

You can attach chenille patches by sewing or using a heat press. Sewing offers maximum durability, just stitch around the edges with a strong thread. If the patch is iron-on backed, place it on your fabric, cover it with a cloth, and press firmly with an iron for 15–20 seconds. Always check the garment’s material before attaching.

To heat press chenille letters, set your heat press to 300°F (149°C) with medium-to-firm pressure. Place the letter on your garment, cover with a Teflon sheet or cloth, and press for 10–15 seconds. Let it cool before moving. This ensures secure adhesion, especially on cotton or polyester fabrics.
